Where are you based?

We are based in Kolkata, India but we have expanded our reach to Bangalore and Mumbai as well. We are willing to work wherever our project takes us; all over India and the world.

When was your company founded?

Our company was founded on 1st January 2016 with Jashaswi Das Majumdar. Later on, Arijit Lahiri and Subhajit Chakraborty joined the company as partners.

Why wedding photography and not anything else?

Jashaswi Das Majumdar started his career as a guest photographer, moving places namely- Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. He has had the privilege of working with the best photographers around. Jashaswi realised that he can showcase his talents in wedding photoshoots and formed the company and Anish was his team member.

Then Arijit Lahiri and Subhajit Chakraborty, who was working in the wedding allied industry and hospitality industry respectively at that point in time, joined hands with Jashaswi and Anish and took it forward and that is how the company flourished.

What is the strength of your company?

Currently, we have 30 odd employees working for us. There are various departments, namely –Photography, Cinematography, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Editing, Colour Grading, Designing, Operations, Digital Media & PR and Content Creation.

Each department has a department head. Jashaswi Das Majumdar, Arijit Lahiri, Subhajit Chakraborty, Kaushik Poddar, Anish Akhtar, Joyjit Mitra, Pritam Das, Somnath Thakur, Shaheel Khan and Sarbojit Sen are heading one department or the other with the other employees in each department.

What is your team size on an assignment?

Our team size depends mostly on the number of guests in the said assignment and the scope of the assignment.

How many assignments on an average do you take in a year?

On average, we take 40 odd assignments per year.

How much early do we have to contact you for the booking?

It depends on the availability and the schedule.

Brief us about the payment process.

After the confirmation by client via mail or WhatsApp or verbally Clients can make payments via cash, A/C transfer (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS), UPI (BHIM, GPay, PhonePay, etc). We take 40% of the booking package amount as the advance, 40% at the delivery time of the raw images and the rest when total delivery is done.

**Please note that We don’t consider a booking as confirmed booking until we get the advance amount.  *

How do you manage wedding data? (Contacts, Documents, etc)

In order to manage the data, we use various cloud services like iCloud, Google Drive (Internal Cloud Storage per se), External Storage Devices and MS Office.

How much time do you take to deliver the photos?

We deliver the raw photos right after the completion of the event and albums are delivered two months after the event.

How many images on an average do you send to the client after you are done with the project?

  • The number of raw copies of the photos depends on the the requirement of the client, the album size and the number of edited pictures provided by the clients.
  • Highlights – 3-5 minutes duration.
  • Main Video – 20-30 minutes duration.

** Please note that this is the general scenario we are talking about but we               always prefer the clients choice on the video timing or planning.

Do you deliver pictures in both black and white and colour?

Yes, we deliver pictures both in monochrome and polychrome.

Do you keep the raw files or deliver them too?

We deliver the raw files of the photos and not of the videos. There are certain reasons behind it:

  • The mode in which we shoot the videos is not compatible elsewhere and the compatible software is not easily available.
  • Presence of ambient sounds can create undesirable results as far as the clients are concerned so, generally, we do not displace that.
  • The clippings and the footages we work with are too short for proper viewing.

How do you communicate with the clients about your projects (say themes, ideas, pose co-ordination)?

A marriage or a wedding ceremony is something to cherish forever. The very moment of getting married is nothing but priceless for the couples. Our idea is to mainly focus on the moments and the candid expressions of the couples in questions so that everything looks as authentic as possible so that the couple do not get distracted and devotes much of the time just posing for us rather than enjoying the once-in-a-lifetime moments. So, we do not impose anything on them. However, if the clients prefer to go for poses, we have designers who come up with pre-set poses and we carry on with the pose co-ordination.

Are you hiring new employees?

Yes, we are always in search of good talents. We would love to take in new employees and collaborators. We have plans of recruiting 60 new talents from different parts of the country. If someone is willing to collaborate with us, he should feel free to contact.

How do you deal with unforeseen circumstances like natural calamity, illness, etc?

First of all, we would like you to kindly refer to the Terms and Conditions given in the website itself. In addition, we guarantee that there will be no inconvenience from our side as we have a large team to make up for any kind of discrepancy.

However, if there is a problem from the client’s side, we are ready to co-operate and complete the assignment according to the client’s convenience provided they inform us one month prior. We will complete the the work at the same rate as was fixed at the time of booking, keeping the advance amount as given initially.

What software’s do you use for editing and colour grading?

For photo editing, we use Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. For films, we use Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro for Mac and Adobe After Effects. For colour grading also we use Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro and download dedicated paid software’s.

How do you describe your style of photography?

We don’t go by any pre-set style or norm. We just go by the client’s aesthetic needs and requirements.

Are your packages negotiable?

We do not have any fixed package; it all depends on the scope of the assignment and client’s requirement.

What will be your advice to the newcomers?

We have always welcomed the newcomers. We believe in one thing- The newcomers of today will be the legends of tomorrow. Nobody enters the industry with all the knowledge in the world but rather learns on the go. Self-teaching holds the key as far as photography is concerned. We are always in for giving space to the newcomers. The ones who are willing to work with us, normally send us their work and if we find them worthwhile, we collaborate.

What are your future prospects?

Our main focus is to improve and better our work. We have a lot of plans and we hold regular meetings to discuss that. We will definitely throw light on that once the plans take a substantial shape. Moreover, we would love to go places-anywhere around India and the world, like working in a Tribel Family rainforests, royal family etc.

Do you wish extend your reach to other parts of India besides Mumbai,Bangalore and Kolkata?

Yes, we are considering the extension of our reach to various cities in India and on global scale as well.
